Sarah Sumner on General Revelation

Scot McKnight has posted a devotional reading of sorts on the subject of general revelation, written by Sarah Sumner, from her new Faith and Culture Devotional: Daily Readings on Art, Science, and Life. It's so helpful (and important!) to constantly be reminded that all that exists exists by the hand of one, sovereign, creator God. Over against platonic spirit-matter dualism, we know that all of God's creation, as its essence, is "very good." Woefully, sin has led to the corruption and even destruction of creation—God's original intent perverted. But in His grace, He has set about to restore, to redeem, creation—and He uses us, by the power of His Spirit, to do it. Take hold of your calling, friend, to participate with God in His grand Drama of Redemption of the world.
