Walk, Run, or Battle?

"The Christian life is not just a walk—it's a battle!" (Kevin Vanhoozer)

"For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds." (the Apostle Paul, 2 Cor 10:3-4)

Paul also likens the Christian life to a race:

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it." (1 Cor 9:24)

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Tim 4:7)

"let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" (Heb 12:1)

So is the Christian life a walk, a run, or a battle? Yes.
